About

View 2011 in a larger map

The Detroit City Futbol League was born out of a desire to bring together Detroit’s distinct neighborhoods for competition and fun and out of an appreciation for the beautiful game.  Each of the league’s teams represents different historic neighborhoods in Detroit with a goal of bringing together neighbors while highlighting the unique communities that make up our fine city.

The league plays 8v8 adult(18+) co-ed soccer. The games are held at Belle Isle and Ft. Wayne within the city limits and followed by a rotating happy hour at various neighborhood bars across the city.

While the focus of the league is recreational there will certainly be a champion crowned who is awarded the Copa Detroit.

    Hello Detroit City Futbol League!

After a long hard road, we are officially coming to a theater near you in Detroit!

Once again we are reaching out to ask for your help, as this film is as much yours as it is ours. Our goal is to promote soccer and get Jay’s story out to as many people as possible, with the hope that it inspires people on all levels to reach their dreams… and of course entertain people with a great film.

We would be absolutely delighted to have Detroit City Futbol League be a part. We have numerous ways your organization can become a part- from simply spreading the message to your members, to branded posters with your organizations name/ logo, all the way to officially hosting the screening and promoting your organization at the premiere.

We have created a Facebook page specific to the screenings in your city and would be truly humbled for you to be a part. There is more information on our website about the film and the Facebook event page will serve as a forum to connect with others in your communities, which are involved.

We are making these screenings an event where players, coaches, team-mates, supporter groups, and friends can come together and socialize and enjoy a good film.

Do let us know us know if you would like to become a part, and we will do everything in our power to ensure it will be a huge success for your organization, no matter what level of involvement you chose to participate.
