GIVES BACK

The focus of the Detroit City Futbol League is about building stronger communities in the city of Detroit through the beautiful game.  To bring home that point the league has introduced a Community Point. A Community Point will be awarded whenever a team does a community service project together during the season and documents it. The Community Points will be used as a tie-breaker in the league standings and the winner will receive a special award at the end of the season.

  1. Teams interested in community points are welcome to sign up to host a Motown Mission team for a dinner during our Summer season. My own Cass Corridor United may go this route. Meal prep happens at Metropolitan UMC, mission teams eat at 6pm. Dates throughout June and July are available. Go to http://www.motownmission.org/volunteer to sign up.

    Thanks!
